One year anniversary

Today is my one year anniversary on blogger. Last year on April 26, I weighed 207 pounds and was a depressed, lost mess. Last year was a tough year.

This year is, thank God, shaping up to be a good one. Our business is going well, Husband's health is stable, the kids are healthy and growing, and I'm feeling more in control of my life.

And today I weighed 183 pounds.

More later...

Congratulations on your blogger anniversary. Best of all, look at where you were last year compared to today. You are doing so great on your plan.

Happy Blogger Anniversary, Laura!

That's great where you're at with your family, the business, and the kids and especially the weight. You have always been inspirational with your running. I used to think one day maybe I'll be able to run -- Laura's doing it.

That's more than 10% that you've lost this year, btw! Congrats!

Laura!! Congrats on your accomplishments. I just found your blog. I look forward to reading through it and following your progress.

One thing I noted in your profile, you wrote: "My dream is to be fit and healthy before age 40."

What if you changed your language to something more concrete and positive?

You know what Dr. Phil says: "The difference between a goal and a dream is a time line."

We know your time line: "before age 40," but it's still vague and you still call it a "dream" like you don't believe it.

If you set S.M.A.R.T. goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time line), it'll be so much easier for you to track your progress. May I suggest changing your profile to read something like this: "My GOAL is to [enter SMART goal here] by [enter specific date here]."

What do you think? Have you tried this before?

If you'd like to discuss this further, let me know. All the best!!
