152.6 - Dream a little dream

So I dreamt last night that I went to a Weight Watchers meeting. There's a WW's meeting place in our barely-alive mall (we have a big one with lots of shops, but there's a dinosaur of a mall that refuses to die and that's where the WW meetings are), and in my dream I go into the mall and think, "hey, I should go to a meeting."

I wait in line, go to the counter, fill out the paperwork, explain that I am a WW online member and have about 15 more pounds to lose. I feel a little awkward and out of place, since I'm so close to goal.

And then, out of nowhere, Russell Crowe shows up and sweeps me off my feet. He dances with me right there in the WW's office. He tries to kiss me and I say "no, you can't!" Then my high school boyfriend shows up, all mad and upset that I'm with Russell Crowe (my husband is nowhere in this dream--weird, eh?).

Then I wake up. And I didn't even get to go to the meeting! Or kiss Russell Crowe.

How to interpret this dream?

Perhaps I need to start logging my food in WW online again. And stop falling asleep with the TV on.

No workout yesterday. Planning on running tonight, 3 miles. I've pretty much decided that I am going to do the Evansville half marathon in October. I need to have something on the calendar to motivate me, or I'm afraid my running is going to evaporate into thin air. I still love weight lifting classes and plan to continue the twice a week habit I've developed. And that fits in nicely with my Hal Higdon Training plan anyway, which calls for twice weekly strength training.

The 100 Push Up Challenge that everyone is doing is still in my sights, but I have yet to print off the schedule to get it going. I'm feeling pretty wimpy about it, actually. Which explains why I keep procrastinating.

And that reminds me of one of my favorite T-shirt sayings:
"Procrastinators Unite! Tomorrow."

That is very funny Laura. I wish I had a Russel Crowe dream . Was he the Gladiator Russel Crowe or the Beautiful Mind Russel Crow?

You shouldn't feel wimpy about the 100 pushup challenge. With all your weight training, you should be great at it. But I have to admit, even doing the wimpy amount I am doing, it leaves me breathless (and there is no Russel Crowe involved.)

(laughing at Debby's comment-teehee!)

I love love love when I have dreams like that! The other day I dreamt I was in junior high and (re)experiencing my first crush!!

It probably means that WW has been on your mind and if you haven't been logging your points, then you know you need to get back on that horse. As far as Russell Crowe, well do we really need to analyze that? Just enjoy it for what it is (or was)!! I loves me some Gladiator Russell!!

I still haven't started the push up challenge yet either. I keep forgetting! I'll try to remember to do it tonight though. I'd love to have some guns by the end of this summer.

I think the half marathon is a good idea - give you a reason to run and think how good you'll feel when it is finished!

Btw, where can I get that procrastinators t-shirt - cuz that's pretty much my life's motto these days!

Have a good day chica!!

Laura, thanks for leaving the good info on my blog for recipes.

That is funny dream. I too feel like I need something on the calendar to motivate/stress me out.

Mmmmm. Russell Crowe. Mmmmm.

The only version I think I would kick out of my [dream] would be the Romper Stomper Russel Crowe. I think any other version could stay:-)

Since popular opinion vetoed the private blog, I went ahead and devised a plan that will allow me to write a (hopefully) private post. It is something I've been thinking about writing for quite a while...today is a good day to share and I think my plan might actually work. If you'd like to read the newest post, it is saved at the link below. This little plan is only for a day or two and then I'll get back to my version of normal...
