Not much time to post today, but did want to say thanks for the encouragement, guys. I sure need it. Not sure if my gain is due to water weight or my discretions are finally catching up with me. Either way, it doesn't really matter. I'm giving myself the advice I give others--do the right things and eventually the scale will show results.
I did run outside yesterday. Oh. My. God. Too hot. I did 3ish miles in 35ish minutes, and it was hell almost the whole time. When I was finished and got in my car to leave, the temperature reading in my rear view mirror was 95. It's supposed to rain the next couple of days and by Friday be in the 70s. SEVENTIES! That will be heaven.
Sorry for the short post. Work is nuts, which, when you're self employed like we are, is a very good thing. But it's bad for my goofing off habit. Hope you all have a super day.

thanks for the advice!! I am running at 5 right now.. but I think I might drop it down to 4.5 tomorrow and see how I breath!
At least you got out there and ran! And thank goodness summer is over!!!
Have a great day... c'ya tomorrow!
I can't believe it's soooo hot there!! You are awesome for running in that heat :-)
That's is a wonderful piece of advice BTW :-) And most definitely true. You'll get to where you need to be for sure!
Hang in there. I'm not at the point where I want to start walking outside again - it is still in the 90's here and lots of humidity.
I never listen to my own advice...
I imagine you didn't practice the "it isn't really hot" mantra while running those 3 miles. See, I actually take that advice...
have a good evening.
Glad to know it's hot other places as well at this time of year!
It is good advice. And to be honest, maybe we have to have some wrestling with indiscretions so that we a) get a better handle on it and b) have some sense of perspective about our progress. Just think how your indiscretions were in the past!
Indian summers are not everything they're cracked up to be when you're trying to exercise. I'm proud of you for continuing to run but be careful, you could hurt yourself out there in that kind of weather. Good job on your attitude and everything else, Laura!
