Day 256 - 153.0

The scale was back up a bit this morning, which totally makes sense after the Chinese food Saturday night (I haven't had Chinese since February!) and the Halloween candy and 6 mini cookies last night (damn that Famous Amos =).

I ran again on Sunday, but nothing as fabulous as Saturday and not what I'd planned. Only 3.3 miles, and it was after church and in a strong wind and I was in a "I don't wanna" mood that never lifted the entire run. They can't all be fabulous, I suppose. At least I was out there.

We took the kids to Toys R Us Saturday, to buy Luke's birthday presents and let Sophie spend her money. It was like Christmas in November at our house this weekend. Luke is now a certified Thomas the Train junkie. (So is my husband.) We set up the train table in the family room so we could all play with the trains, and still watch football Sunday afternoon. My daughter wants to leave the table in there all the time, instead of moving it to Luke's room, so she can play with it too. It'll stay there this week, I told her, then it's going to its permanent home in his room, where she can visit any time she likes.

Tonight is swim class for Sophie, and I haven't decided if I'm going to workout or not. It would be at the gym after her class and the kids would have to stay in the Kid's Club (which they like, but sometimes aren't in the mood for after a long day at school/day care), and I may just take a rest day. We'll see. Definitely going to get the food back on track today. Weekends can just be a killer. I've got to get rid of that Halloween candy, and not by eating it.

It sounds like you had a fantastic weekend.. so you didn't run your 7 miles, at least you had fun with your family. Sometimes that is more important!

I totally understand the train thing.. my girls are starting to want trains??.. Even my hubby doesn't understand that one! LOL. Luckily we dont have the room anywhere for a whole train track. .so they have to make do with just the train.

Have a great day.. see ya tomorrow!

It sounds like a fun weekend. Maybe you guys can find a steam show in your neck of the woods next spring or summer; Luke will adore it!

Someone brought in candy at work and I only had one tiny piece which is pretty good for me considering what someone said to me today. :-(

Sorry your run on Sunday was against the wind, but like you said: "they can't all be fabulous".

I love Chinese food but when we rarely eat it (and I mean rarely) I gain so much water weight. I'm very careful to not eat rice or noodles, I stick to just the mean, veggies and egg foo young (my favorite) and still retain 2 pounds of water weight.

Fang Jr. so loved Thomas the train, his books and train set.

OMG chinese food ALWAYS bloats me like crazy! Seriously it's like 5 extra pounds the next day LOL

Did you get your $10 GC? OMG I looked at that thing and you have to use it between Dec 1st and the 21st. Are they nuts?!?!? I DO NOT want to go back in there at those times *sigh*

Famous Amos are freaking addictive. If I could have gluten or eggs, I'd have to be careful about having those suckers in my house.

Sorry, I meant "meat" not "mean". I'm so so bad about not rereading what I wrote before hitting publish.

No worries, Chinese food will do that to you. Get back on the horse. You are doing SO fabulously. :D

You're absolutely right in saying that not every run will be a good one. Some of them suck. Many of them suck. I won't go so far as to say most of them suck, but the good ones, for me, are few and far between. It seems like every time I think about giving it up, I'll have a good one and then I know I just gotta keep on running.

I love my Chinese. I don't think I could stay away from it for so long: you must have tremendous will power!
