I got the job (154.2)

They called me late Friday afternoon. I accepted this afternoon. It's been bittersweet, and it wasn't until we talked with the owner of our office that I knew for sure I was taking it, because we know that I'll still be able to support Mark (paperwork) in my off hours (yes, a lot of work for me, but it will be worth it and frankly is our only option at this point).

My start date is Dec. 9. They were willing to wait for me until after Sophie's surgery.

I'm swamped at work and don't have time for more details. I'll post more soon.

Congrats.

Be sure your husband is stepping up to make it equal.

He needs to take care of himself so that he is able to do half. He needs to organize himself so he is productive. He needs to be sure he is not disrupting your sleep. He probably needs to stop outside activities so he is spending time on family priorities only.

You need to guard your boundaries and prioritize for you.

However you start is how it will be, so you need to start smart.

Congratulations! Will be praying that the transition goes as smoothly as possible for the whole family. Also praying for Sophie's surgery. Your dedication to your family is amazing. Agree with Vickie that I hope your husband steps up as much as possible in all areas because you are really taking on a lot. Seems like the insurance will be a huge benefit for all. I was shocked at the dollar amounts you mentioned in comments - would make it very hard to get ahead.

Wonderful!! I think this will eventually be a very good thing for you and your family. I will echo what everyone else said - please ask your family for help. They are all old enough to take on the responsibility, you don't have to do it all alone (and I know you will be tempted to, so fight it and accept any and all help). Don't be afraid to ask friends/neighbors/etc for help if you need it - people love to help; let them.

Congrats!!
If neighbors etc offer to help ie cook, errands etc say 'yes' - because you are the rock of the family and you Cannot do it all yourself nor should you. :)

Congratulations, and good luck in your new venture. I hope that the paperwork thing works itself out in the long run.
