...does she talk about all the WHITES or just sugar?

I think that sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda all have an impact.

I have heard people add flour to that list. And I think it gets a bum wrap because we don't (usually) eat anything that is just flour - we add the other whites to it.Vickiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05452333714845476967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27032973.post-64069144663158599782009-09-12T00:27:01.305-05:002009-09-12T00:27:01.305-05:00I agree with Vickie that most of us would find our...I agree with Vickie that most of us would find ourselves somewhere in that book. i know for myself that I have much more empathy for any addicts because of the struggle I have to control simple carbs. The longer I go without a real sugar intake in my life the easier it becomes to control my need/want for them.debbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17967505760808535408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27032973.post-12135024899651758012009-09-11T19:44:04.331-05:002009-09-11T19:44:04.331-05:00That book sounds really interesting. A lot of things you read emphasize "everything is good in moderation" and "don't deprive yourself" ideas. But it's nice to see an alternate perspective. Because I sure can't seem to have chocolate "in moderation."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27032973.post-48038845390671521062009-09-11T18:06:35.415-05:002009-09-11T18:06:35.415-05:00I'm so glad you found that book!
